01 The Challenge
An automotive group had been with a traditional insurance provider for more than 25 years. Though happy with the relationship, the company was missing out on enhanced savings given its favorable loss experience.
It also had little control over its insurance costs from year to year.
02 The Solution
Hylant began educating the company on the advantages of joining Haven Re and creating long-term stability over its annual insurance spend.
Though initially skeptical of the program's ability to be a long-term solution, the company worked with the captive team to understand Haven Re's structure, discuss submission timing, and develop an overall strategy to determine viability.
The fronting carrier and excess provider visited the company's facility to better understand the business. It was clear the operations were best-in-class, with strong controls in place to make a captive a feasible long-term strategy.
Given the 25% initial premium savings and conversations with other Haven Re members, the company ended its 25-year relationship with its traditional carrier and joined Haven Re. The captive has also given it ease and flexibility in adding coverage unique to the company.
